Maryellen and Joanna
We welcome you and your student back to Ohio State!
When our children were young, college seemed like a goal far down the road. However, the years that seemed so distant are now here—and our children have become college students. They are excited (and probably a little anxious) as they embark on one of the most important times of their lives: their Ohio State experience.
As their Buckeye journey continues, our roles as parents change. We want to stay in touch with them, but we have to do that in new and different ways. We still can convey to them a sense of our trust as they learn and grow and try new ways of just being. Even so, their continuing need for our support is one thing that stays the same.

The Parents Advancement Council, now in its third year, helps parents stay engaged. Through regular meetings, members can connect with other parents, interact with faculty and staff, and discover what makes being a Buckeye so special. The council also focuses on maintaining and enhancing excellence at Ohio State by helping to increase donations to the Parents Support Fund. Parent donors have a long history of engagement with their students' education—and are some of the most loyal supporters!
We hope you will join us in this effort by becoming involved with the Parents Advancement Council.
Our students are proud to be Buckeyes and we, of course, are proud of them! We hope to see you on campus soon, and please let us know if we can answer questions or help in any way. We're all family now, so join us with an "O-H!"
